Arsenal
A new era. Finally Arsene Wenger’s reign has finished and Unai Emery has taken over. Arsenal have already signed 5 different players including Guendouzi, Leno, Lichsteiner, Papastathopoulos, Torreira and Joel Campbell returning from loan at Real Betis. It will be an interesting year to see how Emery implants his own philosophy and if Arsenal can find any of the Premier League or European success they desire.
Bournemouth
Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side have stayed clear from any significant relegation battle in the previous 2 years now and are looking to grow together. It is not likely the side will have an active transfer window but will be interesting to see how this team grows next season.
Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton have been active this transfer window completing many foreign signings. For example, Bernando Fernandes da Silva Jr. from RB Leipzig for £9m and Yves Bissouma for an undisclosed fee. After being promoted last season Brighton are looking to advance up the table; these signings may be the key to achieving this.
Burnley
Burnley have finished with their highest position in 51 years and are competing in the Europa League next season. This year for Burnley is about trying to maintain their success as well as see how far they can make it in their European endeavours.
Cardiff
The recently promoted Cardiff will be ecstatic to be back in the top flight of English Football and will be looking to make their mark. After merely escaping the battle for a playoff promotion by 2 points, Cardiff will look to show their resiliency in England’s top league.
Chelsea
Although being successful in one of England’s domestic competitions, they were unsuccessful in managing to compete amongst Europe’s elite teams next year in the Champions League as they sit just outside the top 4 at 5th. European failure saw the end of Conte’s reign at Chelsea and the arrival of Maurizio Sarri ex-Napoli manager. Hazard’s future seems foggy and Willian has received multiple bids from Barcelona. Sarri has brought Jorginho over from Napoli and will look to bring more players which might see a new look Chelsea for next season.
Crystal Palace
After a rocky start to the season, Crystal Palace escaped relegation by a clear margin. Their young star Wilfred Zaha is on form and is presumably at his peak of flair and talent. Whether he stays or leaves they will either have a piece to build their team around or receive are going to recieve sizable amount for him.
Everton
Everton have signed Richarlison from Watford for £40m in hope he can repeat his playstyle from last year. New manager Marco Silva will hopefully bring out the best in him and push Everton further up the table competing for European football.
Fulham
Fulham once again return to the Premier League with young stars such as Ryan Sessegnon aged 18. Also Jean Seri will look to make an impact on his debut to the premier league his arrival from Nice. Fulham will also see more success as they’re participate in their first game of the season at Wembley against Tottenham as they have waited 43 years to touch Wembley soil once again.
Huddersfield
Huddersfield broke there signing record by signing the 24-year old Holland star Terrence Kongolo. David Wagner claims this to be “a big statement” for Huddersfield in the premier league, inciting a greater impact in the league this upcoming season.
Leicester City
After the loss of Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City for £60m they completed signings such as defender Ricardo Pereira from Porto. James Maddison also signed and is now a part of the foxes being dubbed one of the most talented prospects from the championship last year. They will look for these signings to mould into the team and will show fight as a team even with the absence of Mahrez.
Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp has set his heights high for Liverpool high this season as he hopes to bring home some Silverware to Merseyside. With added depth in the signing of Xherdan Shaqiri and some more reliable gloves in Alisson between the posts even more will be expected of them.
Manchester City
City’s league success was one that set a record for most points recorded in a premier league season with 100. New signing Riyad Mahrez and a hungry Sane looking to prove his worth, this team will set their eyes on European success this season.
Manchester United
With Lukaku coming off numerous big performances in the World Cup and Paul Pogba returning as a World Cup winner, the red devils look in good shape. However Pogba seems to be pushing United to get a return to Juventus this transfer window which may put a dent in their midfield. It will be a big year for Mourinho as he will look to get more out of his players in order to compete with Manchester City.
Newcastle
Newcastle will be pleased with their top 10 finish in the league last year, but are still waiting on Benitez to make any signings to build on their success. If Newcastle manage to make effective signings there is no doubt they’ll achieve further league success.
Southampton
Southampton took a blow this transfer window managing to lose Dusan Tadic to Ajax although have already spent up to £55m this window. After avoiding relegation last year by a small margin Southampton look for a bright spark to reboot their Premier league campaign, which they hope to have found in Mark Hughes.
Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs players will look forward to walking out onto their new home soil this year and seeing what success they can bring there. Most players are likely to be poorly rested due to the World Cup as they provided many starters to a lot of nations that made it deep into the World cup, however the new stadium will hopefully provide a boost for these players on their return to England.
Watford
Although they have lost a key player in Richarlison, the price tag they received for him has allowed them to expand their team. Watford have signed 5 new players already strengthening their defence, midfield as well as landing West Brom keeper Ben Foster. However they might need to spend more to replace the talent of Richarlison upfront. Coming to the end of the transfer window Watford are likely to make more moves before the window ends.
West Ham
West Ham have been extremely active this transfer window even breaking their own club-record fee by signing Felipe Anderson for what is said to be near £40m. To pair up with this they have also signed Diop for £24m. Pellegrini will look to aim higher than a 13th place finish they managed last year. Whilst going to new stadium there was no doubt it would take time to get used to and the club to settle. However now with the signings made West Ham will look to push on and kick-start a serious campaign this year.
Wolves
Wolves have deemed themselves the undisputed best team in the Championship as they finished last year with 99 points and the league title. The Wanderers already own players of premier league quality in Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota and the signing of Rui Patricio. On top of this have signed a midfielder with Champions League experience in Joao Moutinho. Fans expect more than simply avoiding relegation.
